Binned Waste Project: Composition and Weight- Market Engagement
Defra would like to engage potential suppliers for a Binned Waste Programme.
The Composition and Weight Project is part of a wider Binned Waste Programme of work which aims to improve our knowledge about the weight, composition and costs associated with waste packaging in street litter bins managed by LAs across the four UK nations.
Defra will use the data collected to feed into a model to calculate the fees payable by obligated producers who will be required to cover the LA cost of managing packaging likely to be disposed of in street bins.
Please register your interest to attend the market engagement event via the Atamis E-Tendering portal. https://atamis-9529.my.site.com/s/Welcome The Market engagement event will take place online on Friday 4 August.
