London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) would like to invite bidders to tender for a fully managed vending service for six LBTH administration buildings - other venues may be added in addition to these sites.
The vending service must include hot drinks, cold drinks, snacks and confectionary.
Vending For Hot Drinks LBTH require high quality, reliable machines that dispense bean to cup coffee, such as cappuccino, latte, mocha, espresso together with hot chocolate and Fair Trade instant coffees, teas & herbal drinks, preferably in 12oz cups.
The milk product used should be of high quality and 100% skimmed milk powder for a virtually fat free additive, which is full in flavour, improves the taste of tea and is totally free of hydrogenated vegetable oils.
Vending For Cold Drinks A wide range of cold drinks including a variety of carbonated types, energy drinks, fruit juices, low sugar drinks and bottled water.
Vending For Confectionary LBTH require a wide variety of leading brand snacks and confectionary and a range of cereal bars and low sugar snacks in order to promote and encourage healthier eating practices within its workforce.
All contractors taking an interest should undertake site visits to establish a suitable proposal.
London Borough of Tower Hamlets Site Visits The bidders are welcomed to visit Council sites where the machines are currently located: - Mulberry Place - Jack Dash House - Albert Jacob House - John Onlsow House - Blackwall Depot - Chrips Street Idea Store This will allow suppliers to make an informed decision by inspecting the locations where the equipment is currently installed on sites.

The estimated value of the contract is: Zero Value Contract- To be self-managed by the winning bidder For a period of: 3 years with an option to extend for two additional 12 month extensions.
It is envisaged for the contract to start in January 2016.
