Medical Interoperability Gateway (MIG) - Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board
This sits in the lower-middle of the IT Services band — a mid-scale opportunity. Based on 36,449 valued IT Services tenders in our corpus.
The purpose of this Notice is to confirm the award of a short-term contract to the incumbent provider, Healthcare Gateway, to deliver the Medical Interoperability Gateway (MIG) across the Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (HWE ICB).
The Shared Care Record within Hertfordshire and West Essex depends on the MIG to surface GP data from all practices into the Shared Care Record.
The HWE ICB is currently undertaking a process to source a long-term solution.
This short-term contract is required to ensure that there are continuity of services to allow for the data to continue to flow in the interim.
The contracts have been in place within the Clinical Commissioning Groups prior to the incorporation of the ICB on 1st July 2022.
The approximate cumulative value of those contracts is £611,156.
A Notice was published on 23rd January 2023 which provided notification of an extension of the contract to January 2023 (reference 2023/S 000-002024).
This has been further extended to end of May 2023 and it's likely that a further extension will be required to allow the Contracting Authority sufficient time to scope and procure their longer-term requirements for this service.
The value of the additional contract to end of May 2023 is £73,398.80 (including VAT).
The market will be informed of any further awards once the long-term planning for the services has been approved through ICB governance.
