Barking & Dagenham College is pleased to invite tenders for the provision of Grounds Maintenance Services at our Rush Green Campus.
Barking & Dagenham College is a large further education college located within the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in Romford, Essex.
The at Rush Green Campus covers 28 acres which are divided between buildings, paths, roads, sports pitches, car parking and open \"green spaces\".
The college is located at the following address: Barking & Dagenham College Dagenham Road Romford Essex RM7 0XU The outline of requirements for this contract will include all grounds (including sports pitches) at Rush Green Campus are to: -Ensure the different areas of the grounds are maintained and presented up to the various standards required under this contract; -Ensure that healthy and attractive plants develop; Keep paths and walkways safe and free from slips and trips; -Ensure the wellbeing of all buildings, structures, fences, gates, footpaths, roads and services in or adjacent to planting areas. -Ensure the development of dense plant growth, which will suppress weed growth naturally and minimise future maintenance requirements. -Provide close attention to specific areas of grounds maintenance as detailed in the specification -Maintenance of shrub, herbaceous and woodland beds to keep them in a healthy, diseases and weed free condition -Clipping hedges and pruning vegetation -Leaf clearance -Maintain the sports pitch so it remains fit for purpose in a healthy, disease and weed free condition.
The contract period will be for one maintenance visit per week totalling 52 visits per annum for 2.5 years with the option to extend for a further period of 1 + 1 years.
The College will be entirely administering the procurement process electronically via the In-tend FE Colleges e-Tendering Systems portal.
No hard copy documents will be issued and all communication with the College including submission of quotes and all documents will be conducted via the In-tend FE Colleges procurement portal.
Bids will be accepted until 17:00 on Thursday 4th January 2018.
