The Borough Council of Calderdale ("Council") is to commission a service that delivers our Pathway Leaving Care Service for our young people who are entitled to services as care leavers ("Service").
The definitions of categories of children entitled to care leaving services are outline in Chapter 2 The Children Act 1989 Guidance and Regulations Volume 3: Planning Transition to Adulthood for Care Leavers and the Children and Social Work Act 2017 Section 1, 2 and 3.
The Council believes that through its duty to ensure the social inclusion and active engagement in society of our young people appropriate support can encourage them to go on to reach their potential, contribute socially and economically to their communities, and for those who so wish, to become parents in their own right.
