The brief

The Forestry Commission (FC) have a future requirement for the support and hosting of an Asset, Fleet and Workshop Management System for the monitoring and management of FC assets.

The System will be used to monitor and record the detail of breakdown, service and inspection history of all these assets, including but not limited to vehicles, tractors, harvesters, strimmers and chainsaws.

This System is required as an integral part of the Mechanical Engineering Services management process, and will cover Forestry England, Forest Research and Forest Services.

We are currently scoping our requirements to ensure that the needs of the business will be met, and that the specification of requirements accurately reflects the offerings of the market.

We invite interested companies from the market to provide feedback and potential clarifications on the feasibility of our emerging plans and suggestions on how their product can add value to our operations, (e.g. licence checking and driver management).

Please note: due to COVID-19 restrictions, any communication and literature relating to this call of engagement must be provided electronically.
