This sits below the typical range for Health & Social Care contracts — a smaller, more accessible award. Based on 32,734 valued Health & Social Care tenders in our corpus.
NHS England North (Lancashire) would like to invite providers to bid for a Cancer Screening Champions project to be delivered across Lancashire.
Bidders are expected to provide a detailed proposal, including model of delivery (No more than 1500 words) and a high level project plan with timelines Bidders will be expected to deliver a 20 minute presentation with 10 minutes for questions.
Presentations will take place on 3rd August 2016 at Preston Business Centre, Watling Street Road, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 8DY Cancer screening programmes are a unique aspect of the Health Service and play an important role in protecting the health of the population.
The uptake in Lancashire across the three national cancer screening programmes is below the national average, declining year on year for breast and cervical cancer screening.
Bowel cancer screening uptake performance has plateaued following an upward trend in its first 6 years of operation.
The aim of the project is to target harder to reach population groups with lower uptake of the cancer screening programmes; to drive uptake up and to increase the number of people who receive screening.
This will potentially lead to: • Earlier diagnosis • Effective treatment packages • Saving lives Service Description The provider will identify a cancer champion project coordinator who will co-ordinate the project across Lancashire and work closely with the organisations involved to support the delivery of the project as detailed in the attached service specification Estimated length of the contract: 7 months from start but must be completed by the end of March 2017.
