Cambridgeshire County Council's opportunity for Care Home providers to bid for residential, nursing and dementia block bed contracts for Older People and Physical Disabilities
Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) recognise the challenges that are facing care home providers and are considering options available to support the market in the longer term.
One proposal is that we expand our residential, nursing and dementia block bed capacity and invite providers to submit bids through an imminent competitive procurement opportunity.
The procurement is likely to be structured in districts with a limit on the maximum number of beds by category that can be awarded to a particular home in order to maximise choice for our service users and to maximise support to as many providers as possible.
Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for providers to make 1: expressions of interest 2: suggestions as to how we could best support you to be able to participate in an open procurement exercise.
This would suit providers across Cambridgeshire whether or not you have participated previously in any block bed contracts.
This would also suit providers who we do not currently commission from, but are registered with the Care Quality Commission.
To Express an Interest: Complete the questionnaire attached and return to michelle.foster@cambridgeshire.gov.uk and c.c. claire.smith@peterborough.gov.uk by 28th June 2020.
