The brief

The Houses of Parliament wish to progress with the procurement of specialist conservation for Daniel Maclise's wall paintings 'Waterloo' and 'Trafalgar' in the Royal Gallery, Palace of Westminster.

Subject to satisfactory tests and successful conservation pilot phase in 2017, it is planned the conservation treatment will be undertaken in regular short periods.

This is likely to be carried out over three to four years, and will be reviewed regularly.
