Cycle Training Scheme for Adults and Children
Newham Council is seeking to procure the services of a Bikeability accredited supplier for the delivery of National Standard cycle training for adults and children.
The contract will commence on 1st May 2017 for a maximum period of 11 months, to terminate on 31st March 2018 or until the funding is exhausted whichever is earliest.
The indicative split of requirements is as follows: At least 550 instructor hours of National Standard cycle training for adults and families over the 112 months of the contract.
At least 70 National Standard Level 2 courses for up to 16 children per course over the 112 months of the contract, with an instructor to trainee ratio of 1:8 for off-road elements and 1:4 for on-road elements.
The split between adult and school-based National Standard cycle training requested above is indicative.
Depending upon demand from schools and adults the split between the requested courses may change.
