Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust seek a Contractor for the demolition of a former Mental Health hospital, Norton Lea.
The site comprises of a former Mental Health Hospital Site, known as 'Norton Lee'; site extends to approx.
2.16 hectares (5.34 acres) and has a range of one and two story buildings situated on it, that have been disused for a number of years and are in a poor state of repair.
Vehicular access into the site is off London Road on its northern boundary.
All structures are to be demolished down to ground level.
All above ground services are to be removed.
Demolition of all hard standing surfaces (including reinforced concrete slab, mass concrete, tarmacadam and excavation of a minimum of 500mm below existing ground levels.
Removal of all below ground foundations, hardcore, blinding concrete and obstructions (including below ground tanks, interceptors, and associated pipework and chasing out of services.
Asbestos removal is not to be included within the scope of works.
Due to site limitations, full internal access is restricted, we are therefore unable to provide a full R&D Survey at this time.
Any Asbestos removal shall be carried out by a Contractor licensed by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and prior to any other works starting in these buildings/ structures or immediately adjacent areas.
Method statements are to be submitted to the Project Manager for comment 7-days prior to any works beginning on site and all removal works are to be in accordance with the requirements of the HSE.
Any suspected Asbestos based materials discovered during demolition work which are not included within the Asbestos surveys, must be reported immediately to the Project Manager.
All efforts must be made to avoid disturbing such materials.
