The Council wishes to appoint a contractor to carry out the works described below at Carnival Lane, Bridgwater, TA6 4SY which is to be in accordance with the Conditions of Contract, Pre Construction Information Pack and the design information, all of which form the tender documents.

The site is located to the north of Bridgwater off the main A38 Bristol Road.

It is intended by Somerset Council (SC) to employ a Contractor to Design and Construction of 5no. new Carnival Workshops including improved highway access, landscaping, drainage improvements works and the demolition of 1no. existing shed at Carnival Workshops, Carnival Lane, Bridgwater, TA6 4SY in accordance with the Conditions of Contract, as stated in this document and separate Procurement documentations.

The proposed works forms Phase 1 of an overall three Phase Plan.

Phase 2 and Phase 3 shall follow in future phases and will be let under separate tendering and contract process.

Phase 1 works to include proposed Carnival Workshops, landscaping works within Phase 1 boundary, external drainage and underground drainage attenuation system with pumping station, works to existing road leading to proposed workshops , S278 improved highway access works and External Storage fencing including gates.
