The brief

AHDB Beef & Lamb is inviting applications for two Beef Knowledge Partnerships as part of a 5 year investment in an initiative to devise and implement a programme of research and knowledge exchange activity in two key areas of beef production.

The beef knowledge partnerships aim to deliver a programme of focused, commercially relevant, innovative and stimulating research, development and knowledge exchange activity that will assimilate knowledge and ideas from across the world, generate new knowledge to fill key gaps and stimulate action within the industry to address the challenges facing beef producers over the next twenty years.

The call focuses on two areas, the first of which is improving youngstock health and reducing causes of poor health and mortality throughout the beef supply chain; the second focus area is aiming to improve output from feed and forages and work to update the nutrition standards for beef cattle.
