PAC 1000n upgrades to PAC 512 and associated works DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKS The contractor shall include for the design, cost estimation, supply and commissioning of new boxed PAC 512 controller and GSM/GPRS modems where applicable integrated into the Door Entry System compliant with the technical and performance criteria set out in this document.
The contractor shall ensure that the system installation and all equipment utilised within it shall be designed, manufactured and installed from materials and equipment offering a high degree of protection to vandalism.
The installer shall supply a complete and functionally commissioned system including all control equipment, hardware and software, cabling and ancillary services.
The installer should be familiar with all matters related to the system, its requirements, installation and maintenance.
The contractor shall be responsible for the commissioning, testing and demonstrating satisfactory operation of the entire electrical system installation on site covered by the contract to the satisfaction of the project manager.
The contractor will be responsible for liaising with the clients nominated maintenance contractor and will employ the said maintenance contractor to commission the newly installed system on the clients central database and carry out a full system test and handover before the installation will be certified by the Project Manager / Contract Administrator unless they are a fully accredited Stanley Security Products installer in which case they will be able to complete the installation themselves at the discretion of the client.
The client’s decision is final.
All equipment supplied must conform to the EEC directive 89/336/EEC and shall carry the CE mark.
The installer shall seek clarification of any relevant matters before returning the tender.
Specific Requirements The client has a number of PAC1000N controllers and GSM modems that require upgrading in various locations.
The contractor will responsible for carrying out the following work •Removal of the old PAC controller/s and GSM modem on each site and fitting new PAC 512 controller and GSM/GPRS Modem. •Connect existing Readers to new controller including all cabling and containment. •Remove sim card from existing modem and fit in new modem •Reprogram Easinet residential database to reflect the change of Controller and modem •Download system database to site •Make good any decoration damaged by installation of new equipment •Test system operation on completion •Salvage and forward existing PAC1000 and associated electronics to Stanley Security products.
Failure to salvage will result in a £75 levy charge against the contractor. •Disposal of all other removed equipment in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
