The growing number of children and young people experiencing poor mental health is one of the greatest challenges facing our society.
Furthermore, there has been a increase in referrals to Barnet's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
To strengthen local early intervention efforts in addressing poor mental health, in young people, the Start & Grow Well Public Health team seek to commission a peer champion service for secondary schools as part of the Barnet Resilient Schools Programme.
This will add to the current evidence-based offer already provided to local schools to to support young people's mental health and well-being.
The Peer Champion Scheme will be funded through the Resilient School Programme.
