The brief

NOTE: This notice was updated on 07 October 2015 for the following reason: The Authority has taken the decision not to proceed with the procurement of the requirement for FLEET/00357 reventive maintenance, certification and support to portable x-ray enclosure1710 NAS utilises a bespoke radiation shielded portable x-ray facility which houses a MOD (ACPT) supplied 160Kvp industrial x-ray machine.

The facility is required on a 24/7 basis for the inspection of components that are subject to failure investigation and also to enable new radiographic NDT instructions to be generated.

This Statement Of Requirement details the support arrangements required to support the facility.

Specification – Preventive Maintenance 2.1 The system shall be subject to 6 monthly preventive maintenance and critical radiation survey inspections.

Radiation protection certification shall be provided to prove any leakage is < 1 µSv/hr.

Items shall be checked, adjusted and corrected as required.

Breakdown cover (fully inclusive) 3.1 Provide 72 Hour response time breakdown cover to include engineer time, travel costs, hotel costs and parts but excludes user replacement parts (light filaments).
