The brief

Thanet District Council is seeking to remove the current safety handrail system to the central spine and #2 berth's five mooring dolphins (2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6), also to the last position on berth#3 and replace it with an economically beneficial and easy maintenance system, to prevent falls from the walkways.

This amounts to approximately 650 linear metres of hand rail system, including both sides of the walkway.

This is to be confirmed by the prospective contractor on their reconnaissance/quantity survey.

It is expected to have a minimum lifespan of 15 years.

The Contract is anticipated to commence upon 22nd January 2021 for a duration of 16 weeks not including Bank Holidays and TDC shutdowns.
