Analysis of Place Based Research and Innovation Opportunities

Through our research and innovation activities we expect to demonstrate our leadership and increase our funded collaborations with businesses and the public sector, grow our strategic partnerships, and increase the opportunities for student engagement in knowledge exchange activities.
The University has identified research and innovation strengths in the following areas: Lot One: Creative and Digital Lot Two: Health and medical technologies Lot Three: Clean growth/net zero/environmental sustainability Lot Four: Heritage Lot Five: Space & Satellites Lot Six: Security and Policing Supporting place-based R&I activity is an important element of future Government policy and the University is looking for external expertise to provide independent analysis on the relative strengths of these six areas to inform future investments and bidding activity.
The University wishes to appoint a partner to work with key stakeholders to test and affirm our areas of strength in key sectors of creative and digital, health and medical technologies, clean growth/net zero/environmental sustainability, heritage, space & satellites, security and policing.
This will help inform which sectors to prioritise for future investment and support with respect to place-based funding opportunities.
