Recycling Wheeled Bins and Food Waste Containers Market Engagement Exercise
Birmingham City Council is carrying out a soft market engagement exercise regarding its plans for an extensive transformation of its waste services.
These changes include: • Introduction of fortnightly residual waste collections • Introduction of weekly food waste collection services • Recycling route and round efficiency project • Introduce a 2nd wheel bin for paper/card to be used alongside the current DMR container • Develop a recycling and food waste solution for multiple occupancy flats, apartments and households above shops.
This procurement will take place via further competition from ESPO framework 860 _22 Refuse and Recycling Products - Lot 1A Supply of 2 Wheeled Plastic Bins - Lot 7 Supply of Food Waste Containers (caddies) Suppliers will be able to bid for single lot or for multiple lots but suppliers may only submit bids for those lots they have been awarded under the ESPO framework.
BCC will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this market engagement exercise and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
