Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service
Design & Develop new website and intranet
This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
Royal Berkshire Fire Authority(RBFA) is seeking to award a contract to a single Provider to work in partnership with them to design, build and provide support and maintenance for an intranet and website built on a common platform.
RBFA is interested in options that may include both open source and proprietary software solutions.
The appointed Provider must be able to build the new intranet site to be live and operational to replace the current intranet by 20th March 2017.
The Provider must therefore have the resource capacity to take on this phase of the project within two weeks of the contract start date.
It is intended that the new intranet will be a complete re design and therefore it is not intended for any current pages to be migrated across.
It is intended that the new intranet will require officers to be responsible for regularly reviewing and updating their own pages.
Full details of the intranet requirements for a content management system are outlined in the tender documentation.
The current website is functional as a helpful shop window but currently offers no additional functionality nor provides our residents the opportunity to communicate or use self service.
The timeline for the new website to be developed and operational is October 2017.
RBFA is interested in receiving options to host the intranet and website as part of this proposal.
