Supply of Biological Indicators (BI) for use in Fumigation Validation of Formaldehyde fumigations
The agency (MHRA) require a supply of Biological Indicators (BI) for use in Fumigation Validation of Formaldehyde fumigations.
The BI must consist of stainless steel spore disc, each disk is impregnated with a suspension of Bacillus atrophaeus (formerly Bacillus subtillis var globigii), (ATCC 9372) spores with a nominal population of 2.6x106 colony forming units per token and housed in a Tyveck envelope.
They must be manufactured under ISO 13485.
We anticipate requiring 500-1000 per year.
Potential suppliers if they feel they can meet the requirement should email Nawaz.habib@nibsc.org to register an interest by close of play 07 March 2019.
If no submissions of potential interest are received it is then intended to perform a direct award without competition to the sole supplier we believe can deliver this requirement.
