The brief

We are holding a Market Engagement Event for the delivery of specialist care to local young people accommodation based, residential care with varied level of need within the London Borough of Croydon.

The Council is looking to potentially commission a Service Provider to deliver registered services to young people with support needs, using one of the Council's residential properties.

The Council will potentially be undertaking a procurement process to select a service provider to deliver identified Services which may include other additional services.

The Council is currently developing the draft service requirements which will be informed by service users and incorporate stakeholder feedback gathered at this event.

The Council wish to request key market players from potentially interested providers to inform the upcoming procurement process by attending our Market Engagement Session to discuss our requirement and provide insight in line with your knowledge of the market to ensure successful launch of the tender and appointment of a service Provider that will work with the Council.

In order to assist the Council with this commissioning, testing of ideas and proposed service requirements, a market engagement event is proposed to explore the market's feedback on the following areas: • Suitability of the property for differing cohorts • Outline of service requirements and KPI's • Timescales for procurement and mobilisation of the new contract • Proposed contract duration and financial model.

Although, this pre-market engagement does not form any part of the formal procurement process, it will inform how the new service is commissioned.

Information gained from this exercise will be used to inform the final service specification and expected outcomes from the procurement process.

Date of Event: Friday 20th October 2023 - 10am - 12noon Venue of Event: Teams (Virtual link to be sent a week to event) Please respond to : Whitley, Nathan (Nathan.Whitley@croydon.gov.uk)
