The brief

The London Borough of Lambeth wishes to offer an opportunity to tender for the provision of short breaks services in the borough.

Short breaks offer children and young people with disabilities opportunities to engage in positive experiences and activities that help their personal and social development.

Importantly, this service also provides parents and families with an essential and valuable break (or respite) from what can be demanding caring responsibilities.

The service will support the approach and the priorities of the Children and Young People's Plan.

The framework contracts will be let for three years effective from 1 June 2020 until 31 March 2023, with an option to extend twice for one year.

The service user group will be disabled children and young people in Lambeth up to the age of 19 years.

Lambeth Council is seeking to commission a range of safe, supervised, and stimulating opportunities for its service users across the following short break work packages (Lots), as part of a Short Breaks Framework Agreement: 1.

Lot 1: After School Activities, £315,000 per annum 2.

Lot 2: Weekend Activities, £270,000 per annum 3.

Lot 3: Holiday Activities, £315,000 per annum 4.

Lot 4: Delivery of Short Break Activities at the Bolton Crescent Adventure Playground Site for Disabled Children and Young People in Lambeth, £600,000.00 per annum Service providers may bid for any combination of the service Lots and there is no limit on the number of Lots that service providers bid to deliver. .
