Requirements include: - Personal Track Safety (PTS) competence - Direct Current Conductor Rail (DCCR) - Overhead line equipment (OLEC 1) and track induction (TIC) - Health and safety training and requirements including fire awareness. - How to use small plant machinery, tools, and equipment for a minimum of 5 days. - Theory and practical training on the key principles of overhead line engineering including bonding and rigging, as well as signalling and telecoms including basic diagrams. - Evidence of employers providing contracts of employment to learners prior to release - Learners must complete a Network Rail Drug and Alcohol screening/medical prior to the course commencing. - Must provide pastoral 1-2-1 support to learners on release.
