The brief

The cross-government Beating Crime Plan has made available grant funding to establish SAFE Taskforces in 10 serious violence hotspots across the country.

SAFE is an acronym for Support, Attend, Fulfil, Exceed.

Lambeth SAFE Taskforce is a schools led strategic board bringing together schools, the Local Authority, and partners to commission evidence-informed interventions to Support young people with challenging behaviour, enabling them to Attend school regularly so they can Fulfil their potential and prevent costly poor life outcomes by inspiring them to Exceed their expectation.

Lambeth SAFE taskforce are looking to procure two pilot interventions: a Primary School Transition Programme and a Mentoring Service. • The Mentoring Service will offer support to children aged 10-14, at risk of disrupted education • The Primary School Transition Programme will offer support to children who have been identified as requiring additional support to make a successful transition from Year 6 to Year 7
