The brief

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England Midlands & East (Central Midlands) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver GP services in Leicester for the below GP medical practices.

This procurement will be conducted by AGCSU on behalf of England, Midlands & East (Central Midlands) (referred to as the Commissioners).

Any contract arising from this procurement will be between the successful Provider and NHS England (National Health Service Commissioning Board).

The successful Bidders will be awarded an Alternative Provider of Medical Services (APMS) contract for the LOT's that will meet the technical and financial requirements for NHS England Midlands & East (Central Midlands) and LC CCG.

As a result of this procurement exercise an agreement will be established with the successful Bidder(s) for a period of 5 years.

The estimated core contract value for 5 years excluding QOF and enhanced services will be: LOT 1 - Asquith Surgery £1,759,000, LOT 2 - Beaumont Leys Surgery £3,069,000, LOT 3 - Bowling Green Street Surgery £1,678,000, LOT 4 - Rushey Mead Surgery £2,349,500, LOT 5 - Sayeed Health Centre £1,661,500.

The contract extension will be subject to approval from NHS England internal board for a 5 + 5 contract period and a review of the delivery and performance of the contract; this would result in the contract value increasing to: LOT 1 - Asquith Surgery £3,442,000, LOT 2 - Beaumont Leys Surgery £6,006,000, LOT 3 - Bowling Green Street Surgery £3,284,000, LOT 4 - Rushey Mead Surgery £4,599,000, LOT 5 - Sayeed Health Centre £3,251,000.

It is envisaged that TUPE will apply to the contract.

It is essential that interested Providers must be able to demonstrate an ability to mobilise the service to ensure a service commencement date of 1 October 2017.
