Portsmouth Domestic Abuse Support for those who use abusive or unhealthy behaviours
In preparation for the design of future service provision, Portsmouth City Council (the 'council') and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) are in the process of exploring intervention models with those who use abusive or unhealthy behaviours in their intimate partner or familial relationships and want to speak to agencies who provide this.
The current provider delivers Up2U: Creating Healthy Relationships (Up2U:CHR), the councils in house Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme (DAPP).
Up2U:CHR has been delivered for 10 years and was commissioned internally as, at the time, the council were unable to find a suitable programme to meet local need.
The purpose of this engagement is to understand what alternative interventions have been introduced over the last 10 years, to support a change in adults behaviours that reduces risks to victims of domestic abuse and to consider whether the Council's current provision remains the most suitable model for residents of Portsmouth.
Face to face or Microsoft Teams meetings of up to 1 hour are available over 2 days, and will be arranged on a first come basis.
These discussions will inform the specification only.
No feedback will be provided and it will not influence or contribute to any subsequent commissioning processes and whether an agency chooses to be, or not to be, involved will in no way be an indication of the selection of your organisation or a guarantee of future work.
The deadline for receipt of responses is 5pm on Friday 19th April 2024.
Responses should be returned using the correspondence function on Intend.
