Cambridgeshire County Council Outdoor Learning Experiences and Residential Centres
Cambridgeshire County Council has three high quality outdoor learning centres; Grafham Water Centre, Stibbington and Burwell House - which offer day and residential visits, conference facilities, adventurous and curriculum based activity courses and outreach services.
Outdoor learning experiences, both day and residential, provide the opportunity for exploration and discovery, helping to cultivate skills of resilience, independence and self-awareness for participants.
Through taking part in a wide range of high quality outdoor activities, individuals can develop meaningful and positive relationships with others and the environment around them.
Cambridgeshire County Council are currently exploring opportunities for its outdoor learning centres, including; • Delivering the service in partnership with an interested party; • Enabling an interested party to deliver the service on behalf of Cambridgeshire County Council (sites would be leased to the third party)); • An interested party taking a lease of the site(s) for their own private business purposes providing outdoor education services or similar; • An interested party taking a lease of the site(s) for their own private business purposes for another purpose.
Please see the attached document "Expressions of Interest V7" for further information.
There is one opportunity for interested parties to visit all 3 sites on 2nd October.
Please contact Victoria Stacey (victoria.stacey@cambridgeshire.gov.uk) for further details.
