The brief

Sunderland City Council are looking to appoint a single provider to deliver a Direct Payment Support Service The Service will comprise of: a) Direct Payments Employment Support Service - This service will support Clients with the recruitment, selection and retention of Personal Assistants b) Payroll Service - This service will support the Client with their responsibilities relating to the payment of their Employees And will be accessible to the following groups: a) People aged 16 or over who meet all of the following criteria: i.

Are in receipt of a Social Care Direct Payment or a Personal Health Budget Direct Payment, and ii.

Live in the Sunderland local authority area b) People aged 16 or over who meet all of the following criteria: i.

Are in receipt of a Personal Health Budget Direct Payment, and ii.

Are registered with a Sunderland GP c) People who have responsibility for a disabled child living in the Sunderland local authority area and are in receipt of a Social Care Direct Payment or a Personal Health Budget Direct Payment for that child d) People who have responsibility for a disabled child who is registered with a Sunderland GP and are in receipt of a Personal Health Budget Direct Payment for that child The Provider will receive referrals from Sunderland City Council, Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group and people who receive a Direct Payment and must have a local point of contact or be able to set up a local point of contact within the City of Sunderland.
