The brief

Doncaster Council's invites tenders from contractors to deliver an outcome focused, person centred, and flexible day opportunities offer for older people (65+years) that recognises the 'centrality of the service user', currently delivered by a single contractor over two sites, Moat Hills Centre and the Sandalwood Centre.

For this tender the contract will be split into two lots Lot 1 Moat Hills Centre and Lot 2 Sandalwood Centre Contractors will be able to bid for one or both of the above Lots.

Where contractors submit a bid for both Lots, this must be with the intention of delivering both, subject to the outcome of the evaluation.

The Council reserves the right to award one or both Lots.

It is expected that with the Councils support, the successful Contractor(s) will become self-sustaining during the contract term at which point the contract and associated funding will cease.

This will be achieved by having a clear charging model for the Day Opportunity Offer and other associated opportunities that outreach into the local community.
