The Council's ultimate aim is to re-unite a Stray Dog with its Owner, or if the Owner is not found, to re-home the dog.
The contractor will receive, and respond to telephone calls detailing reports of both confined and roaming stray dogs.
In the case of confined Stray Dogs, such calls may be received 24 hours 7 days per week 365 days a year.
Such calls will be received direct from the Council's contact centre or from the Council's Out of Hours Service Provider.
Calls relating to Roaming Stray Dogs will be received between the hours of 09.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday.
