The brief

The London Borough of Hackney and City of London would like to commission a provider to provide a Community Based Peer Mentoring, Advice and Signposting Service.

The Community Based Peer Mentoring, Advice and Signposting Service for vulnerable pregnant women and new mothers will reduce the barriers to accessing perinatal and postnatal support services within the first 1001 days, to improve experience, address needs and improve health outcomes.

The service will improve maternal social and emotional health and well-being, reduce health inequalities and increase access and engagement with local maternity and support services for pregnant women/new mothers.

The Service will operate across City and Hackney and meet the above aims through the provision of two service objectives: high quality, accessible community based peer mentoring service and an advice and signposting service for socially vulnerable pregnant women and new mothers.

There will be an initial three year contract with two optional annual extensions.
