The brief

The aim of this Service is to provide a range of appropriate preventative and responsive interventions that support children, young people and their carers subject to increased risks to recover and maintain their mental health and emotional wellbeing.

A key element of the success of this service will be its ability to provide systemic support delivered on a case by case basis and tailored to the individual needs of the child and the family unit.

The service needs to provide a holistic response to cared for children (Knowsley's preferred terminology) that provides support to enable sustained, positive relationships with their primary care givers and more stable placements.

Knowsley also seeks to ensure that the successful Service Provider is fluent in Trauma Informed Care and can demonstrate how they plan to deliver interventions through Trauma Informed Approaches.
