Upnor Castle - Structural and Drainage Works
This sits in the upper-middle of the Construction band — a substantial contract for the sector. Based on 64,002 valued Construction tenders in our corpus.
English Heritage is looking to award contracts to carry out structural and drainage works at Upnor Castle in the South East region.
The Castle’s east boundary wall has suffered severe structural movement; it requires installing stronger foundations to the river side of the wall.
In addition, water ingress is thought to be the cause of timber decay to the lower rooms of the Keep so drainage works to two specific areas of the grounds are required.
Proposed works: Installation of stainless steel pilling system and steel buttresses to the east face of the boundary wall. Installation of appropriate ground drainage to the South Gun Platform and South Terrace Installation of a propping system to the south passageway.
