Request For Information (RFI) - Test facility for Mobile Preliminary Drug Testing Devices
Through this Request for Information (RFI) the Home Office is looking to understand the market by gauging interest from third parties independent from manufacturers/suppliers of Mobile Preliminary Drug Testing Devices (MPDTDs) that are currently capable or could be capable to carry out any of the functions as the Home Office nominated laboratory for the evaluation of MPDTDs.
Functions are in accordance with a Guide to Type Approval Procedures for Mobile Preliminary Drug Testing Devices (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5a7debcced915d74e6222eee/Mobile_preliminary_drug_testing_devices.pdf ).
The functions are defined as: 1.
Testing against Annex A - Preparation of Drugs & Interfering substance in Artificial Oral Fluid and performance testing of Mobile Preliminary Drug Testing Devices 2.
Testing against Annex C - Review of Software Validation documentation and targeted software testing 3.
Review of test plans and reports for compliance against Annex B together with the provision of advice, evaluation, and recommendation to Home Office in relation to devices overall compliance to the guide to support Home Office decision on issuing Home Office Type Approval.
