The Contractor must provide a collection point within the borough boundary for dog owners to reclaim their dogs.
The contract also includes the provision of kennel accommodation for up to 7 days for each dog, the transport of unclaimed dogs to a nearby RSPCA re-homing centre, together with the collection of fines and administration charges from dog owners that reclaim their dogs and the refunding of this money to the Council.
The contract will include provision for an extension of up to one additional year.
