Dental Out of Hours Services in Great Yarmouth, Waveney, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU), on behalf of NHS England Midlands & East (East) (the Commissioner), is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to tender for Dental Out of Hours Services in Great Yarmouth, Waveney, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough in a safe and effective manner.
AGCSU is managing this Procurement in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (the "Regulations").
The key objective of the Procurement is to provide treatment for urgent dental problems which occur on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays for the following LOTs: LOT 1- Central Norfolk, covering North Norfolk, South Norfolk, Breckland, Broadland and Norwich.
LOT 2 - West Norfolk and Kings Lynn LOT 3 - Great Yarmouth and Waveney LOT 4 - Cambridgeshire 1 covering Fenland and East Cambridgeshire LOT 5 - Cambridgeshire 2 covering Cambridge, South Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire LOT 6 - Peterborough Urgent dental care services are particularly important in managing severe dental and facial pain and preventing dental conditions from becoming life threatening.
Users of urgent dental care services tend to be those with a high level of oral health needs.
A lack or inadequate provision of unscheduled dental services could lead to adverse consequences for patients and additional pressures on medical services, including GP out-of-hours services and Accident and Emergency departments.
TUPE applies only to Cambridgeshire area.
