Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation trust requires a supplier to carry out an audit of approx 7000 medical devices located at approx 50 sites.The Contractor will be responsible for identifying all assets in use via a combination of existing records and site attendance/drop-in clinics.
For each asset the Contractor will: •Ensure that the device is assetted as a Trust Asset and complete if in use and not assetted •Carry out a full Medical Device Safety checks where this has not been completed in the previous six months •Collate all information about the device such that it can be imported into the software tool F2 to ensure that we have full site of all assets, by location, age, type and maintenance details. •Input the data either into an Excel Spreadsheet or direct into F2 should this be available within the timescales of the contract •Define the appropriate PPM requirements for each device audited where this is appropriate •Identify the appropriate replacement date for each device audited based on manufactures recommendation All of this taking account of the guidelines laid out in MHRA Document Managing Medical Devices, Guidance for Healthcare and Social Services Organisations April 2015 which replaces MDA DB 2006(05) which updates and replaces MDA DB 9801.
All reporting and analysis set-up within F2 for our core sites should be completed and provided to the Trust by 14th September 2018 other site can continue after this date but must be completed by Friday 2nd November
