The brief

Birmingham Metropolitan College ("BMet") is a large further education college situated over 3 main sites and 3 smaller locations across Birmingham.

The college serves approximately 12000 learners across the West Midlands helping them to achieve their learning objectives and secure employment.

Bmet offers a dual careers programme which allows students to study a subject of their choice whilst also developing their sporting career.

BMet is looking for an organisation to support its dual career offer to learners exploring a career in basketball and in particular: - is a Basketball England accredited Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) Basketball club, has the capacity to offer the DiSE to Elite programme for 16-18 year-old-Basketballers has access to facilities which are easily accessible to BMet students, has access to quality training facilities which meet the requirements of elite basketball as determined by the National Basketball League, is able to provide a high- performance and participation academy programme of basketball training and coaching and match day opportunities for between 50 and 65 learners per year, is able to offer coaching and sports analysis opportunities, and is able to offer other related basketball enrichment and personal development.
