National Museums Liverpool is seeking to appoint a supplier to develop strategic marketing and communications campaigns.
The principal scope of this tender is to develop a strategic marketing and communications campaign to promote NMLs exhibition project BEES A Story of Survival immersive experience.
The appointed supplier will be required to plan and deliver a powerful and artistic marketing campaign through print, digital media and out of home tactics, including the concept and delivery of experiential activity and animation, press drops, opportunistic moments, and promotional stunts.
National Museums Liverpool's organisation mission is to create memorable experiences for everyone, and we want this major exhibition and its campaign tactics to reflect this.
This experience will be the first of its kind, so it's vital our appointed supplier effectively and powerfully attract audiences as defined in Section 1.4 in the Main Invitation to Tender document.
The overall aim of the exhibition is to engage with our visitors through a harmony of art and science to excite and educate on the wonder of bees, reconsider the world around them and take action to help to protect our environment and these wonderful creatures.
The aim of the campaign is to attract 63,450 visitors to the experience from the Northwest region and extending reach and engagement across the UK.
The duration of BEES: A Story of Survival immersive experience exhibition project is from w/c 10 July 2023 to 30 June 2025.
Subject to other additional NML strategic marketing and communication campaign requirements, funding and ongoing satisfactory contract performance, any contract awarded under this tender may be extended with the appointed supplier, for up to a further 2 years until 30 June 2027.
The contract value in respect of National Museums Liverpool's BEES A Story of Survival immersive experience project; concept creation and delivery of experiential animation, print media, digital and outdoor media advertising and PR activity is approximated to be £80,000 excluding VAT; (or £96,000 including VAT).
Subject to this contract being extended for wider NML marketing and communication campaigns to the maximum potential contract term, the total value of all contracts awarded is estimated to be up to 160,000 GBP excluding VAT; (or 192,000 GBP including VAT).
Whilst the appointed provider may be awarded the contract for BEES: A Story of Survival immersive experience, no guarantee can be given regarding the volume, nor value, of business placed.
Tenderers are advised that subject to exhibition programmes and internal governance arrangements during the contract term, NML may tender and award marketing and communications campaign work to other suppliers to service NML's requirements.
The appointed contractor may therefore be required to service requirements, below, or in addition to, what has been initially specified within this tender.
