London Accommodation Pathfinder Market Engagement Exercise
This is a large award for Health & Social Care — above three-quarters of comparable contracts. Based on 32,734 valued Health & Social Care tenders in our corpus.
Camden Council is reviewing the future delivery of the London Accommodation Pathfinder service.
The current contract is due to end of 31st March 2026 with a new service commencing on or around 1st April 2026.
Our vision through the delivery of this pathfinder is that we avoid custody where possible for children aged 16 and 17 (and those who turn 18 whilst in this placement).
By providing an alternative to custody we will be able to avoid future extensive contact with the criminal justice system and reduce reoffending rates for children, some of whom are disproportionally represented in the criminal justice system.
A high percentage of children remanded are from Global Majority backgrounds, and a significant amount of these children are not found guilty of the offences they are remanded for.
The London Borough of Camden will be leading on the procurement exercise for the re-commissioning of the London Accommodation Pathfinder Service which is a pan-London accommodation-based service for 10 males at any one time between the age of 16 - 17 years.
There is a possibility this service could be expanded in the future, which will be dependent on needs identified.
Based over two units, the service will be open to children from any London Authority.
