Welcome Back Fund Events Management
This sits in the lower-middle of the Business Services band — a mid-scale opportunity. Based on 57,319 valued Business Services tenders in our corpus.
Salford City Council is receiving up to £230,000 of funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the Welcome Back Fund project.
This funding will be used to support the return to high streets safely and help build back better from the pandemic.
It builds on the £50m Reopening High Street Safely Fund (RHSSF) allocated to councils in 2020 and forms part of wider support government is providing to communities and businesses, to protect jobs, support the most vulnerable and ensure no one is left behind as we continue to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic and begin to build back better.
Salford City Council requires the services of a professional event management company or event management individual to manage a programme of events at key high street areas across the city.
This would be focused around a month of events to promote Salford's high streets and encourage footfall in a positive and safe manner.
It is proposed that events will take place over the month of February 2022.
A minimum number of events and activities is outlined below.
The successful bidder will be responsible for pre-event planning, plus on the day event management and delivery and evaluation.
The events programme will be part of a wider Welcome Back Fund campaign, that will include a separate brief for a marketing communications and public information campaign.
Part of that brief will feature marketing assets to promote and support the events programme.
ITQ submissions must be received back by 5pm on 24th November 2021, including core costs and a costed menu of recommended or additional costs.
Successful agencies after the initial evaluation will then be asked to present a developed events programme concept for initial review and evaluation at a pitch interview w/c 29th November 2021.
Submissions will be judged on quality of concept, ability to meet the brief, and value for money, including social value.
