This is a confirmation of award following the below tender: This tender was to procure a full, flexible laser engraving and marking system to include additional optics and accessories, associated computing and software requirements.
In addition, this tender must have included a minimum of 2 years full support and maintenance for the system.
The system is to be used by a range of staff, both internal and external to the University and as such, must be integrated, robust and easy to operate (both in operation and software).
Furthermore, the system must also be flexible to afford use with a variety of component sizes in a wide range of materials including polymers, hard metals and ceramics.
Ideally, the system will also be able to cut polymer materials.
The system must be accurate and repeatable to 200μm.
All options, including parts, must be fit for purpose, fully supported, with a full guarantee (minimum of two years) and can be fully maintained.
The specification was detailed within the document entitled "Document 2 - Specification & Pricing Schedule".
Actual options such as accessories and lenses may vary over the period of the contract term as are subject to requirements.
Tenderers are advised that no guarantee can therefore be given regarding the volume of business placed with any appointed individual tenderer.
This contract will also extend to cover any additional accessories associated with this equipment for the life of the tender.
