WCH Changing places
West Cornwall Hospital, located in Penzance, provides a wide range of healthcare services including Urgent Treatment Centre, medical wards, x-ray facilities and an outpatient department.
Work has recently started on the new outpatient block and is due to complete by March 2025.
As part of the redevelopment plans, The Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust (RCHT) is seeking to improve the accessible facilities at West Cornwall Hospital and therefore proposes to introduce a new changing places facility at the hospital.
Existing male WC, female WC and accessible WC, located just off the main entrance lobby will be reconfigured into the new changing places facility.
The redevelopment encompasses the modification of the existing building services within these spaces ensuring alignment with the standard set out in relevant HTMs, HBNs and Building Regulations.
