NRM WONDERLAB SUMMATIVE EVALUATION
The National Railway Museum's new interactive gallery, Wonderlab: The Bramall Gallery, invites audiences to play through 18 hands-on challenges, test their engineering skills, and immerse themselves in an explosive live show.
Dynamic, dramatic and multi-sensory, it showcases the principles of engineering and science that relate to the railways.
The gallery helps visitors to think like engineers.
It showcases the ingenuity of engineers and allows visitors to engage in designing, building and testing.
The gallery also promotes the fundamental skills engineers use such as problem solving and creativity.
The Science Museum Group (SMG) wishes to appoint a consultant to undertake a summative evaluation of the gallery to understand how successful it was in meeting its aims and learning outcomes, as well as to explore visitors' response to the gallery environment, content and interpretation.
Lessons learned from the evaluation will be applied to future exhibitions and galleries developed by SMG, particularly other interactive galleries.
