Provision of interpretative signage for English Heritage

English Heritage is inviting tenders for the supply of Interpretative Signage.

English Heritage looks after over 400 historic sites all of which are open to the public and many of which are staffed.

Our properties include historic country houses and gardens, palaces, ruined abbeys, prehistoric settlements, burial sites, castles and Roman remains.

Many of these are in remote and exposed locations.

In order to help visitors understand our sites interpretative panels and labels are provided at all English Heritage sites.

They may be fixed to lecterns, frame-fixed to walls, or supplied as free standing units; this will be specified at the time of ordering.

English Heritage has defined a common yet distinct visual language for external interpretative signage.

For the production of this we are looking for high quality manufacturing techniques that will produce external quality graphic panels with a lifespan of 10 years.

English Heritage look forward to receiving proposals from those manufacturers with extensive experience in this field.

The requirement includes two types of signage - one for our current signage system, and one for a future signage system for which tenderers are invited to present their proposals.
