The brief

The Big Lottery fund “the Fund”) needs support to create a ‘visual summary’ of a new report it has commissioned – called The Future of Doing Good.

We are seeking a creative response to this brief that advises on how to visualise and bring to life the key messages from our report in a fresh and dynamic style through graphics and animation.

The report is a provocation paper, written by an independent commentator Sonia Sodha.

It aims to spark a wide-ranging debate about the future of ‘doing good’ in the UK, with and across the voluntary and community, public and private sectors.

While the report will inform our own work and approach to distributing Lottery funding, its key purpose is to engage and inspire other organisations and sectors who have a role to play in creating social value – and ultimately prompt a collective response to the current big social shifts in the UK.

We are particularly keen to involve sectors and organisations that we haven’t previously worked with, and who might feel on the periphery of this debate, despite having an important role to play in it.

The product that the successful service provider shall develop will be crucial to our success.

It needs to draw out and present the report’s key messages in an engaging and digestible way for the different audiences we want to reach.

It will be an important tool for us in quickly conveying to different audiences what the debate is about, why it is relevant to them and their work, and encouraging their active involvement.

We also require the report to be designed and produced in the same style as the visual summary.
