New Forest District Council (NFDC) is undertaking a full review of the various waste streams across its operations to select a contractor for the regular collection and disposal of the following waste categories: General Waste Skip, Metal Skip, Plasterboard Skip, Wood Skip, Asbestos Skip.
The contractor will also provide an added value service of disposal of light tubes & paints.
The contract period consists of an initial term of three (3) years with an option to extend by a further two (2) years in yearly increments.
The Contract consists of the regular collection and disposal of the 5 skips mainly located within the Marsh Lane Depot (Lymington) and other various site across the New Forest area as required to support the Council's operations.
The skips are to be collected and replaced within the same day.
The collection of the skips are to be either scheduled for a specific day (weekly) or booked for collection on an ad-hoc basis - at least 24 hours notice will be given to the contractor in order to book a collection.
In addition to the 5 currently permanent skips (Note: this may change due to Council's operational needs and requirements during the course of the contract) there will be ad-hoc collections of various waste streams such as lighting tubes, electrical waste & paints to be collected and disposed of.
