Supply of Heat for the Hull District Heat Network - Market Engagement Stage
The Council is seeking to appoint suppliers of heat to/for the Hull District Heating Network.
Following this market engagement stage, this requirement will shortly be the subject of a formal procurement process.
The Council is currently investigating procurement models; this pre-market engagement exercise is to assist in the formulation of the strategy and model to be used.
The heat suppliers will need the capacity to supply heat to Phase 1 of the Hull District Heat Network of 21GWh p/a with a peak load of 13MW (approx.) with the possibility to expand over future phases.
The heat supply will be supported by a backup supply at/from the Council owned energy centre; however, it is expected that this will be a 'last resort' measure with a majority of the heat supply being drawn from one (or more) available external heat sources secured through the procured arrangements for the Supply of Heat.
