We are seeking to appoint a creative agency to support our Green Bus Routes Programme.
Green Bus Routes is an infrastructure improvement package to transform key corridors along the Liverpool City Region bus route network.
The Green Bus Routes programme will have several key benefits including improving the overall bus experience in particular; reliability, reducing journey time, supporting new technology including environmentally friendly Hydrogen buses, and improving the environment and air quality.
The first of these schemes, the 10a Route, will enable us to begin implementing real changes in line with our overarching vision for bus that benefit not only bus passengers travelling along this route but also residents, local businesses, other modes of transport users and the environment.
Potential infrastructure improvement measures include: • Signal upgrades - smarter traffic signals that manage traffic flow • Junction upgrades to tackle pinch points and provide bus priority • Carriageway widening and provision of Priority Bus Lanes • Parking restrictions review and upgrade • Bus hub development and improvements to public realm • Bus stop/shelter upgrades • Complimentary active travel infrastructure At present the bus routes that have been confirmed are the 10A, 53 and 86 / 86A routes but more will be confirmed in due course.
